I am lots of different things, but they do not define me. I spend a lot of time trying to figure out what humans want, what makes them tick. But like my work, I’m sure that people love to fill empty space with the talk of it. I don’t, I hate party talk: “So, what do you do?”
My answer, “All kinds of stuff.”
They persist, “Nooo…What kind of work do you do?”
My answer, “I could tell you, but you still wouldn’t know me through that little factoid. We vote presidents into office and still don’t know the guys. You want to know if I fit into your little “clique.” I’m not being difficult, I just want to be your friend. I try to be as kind as possible, but still the question comes up “About me.”
